Ryan was the head coach. Mike was his assistant, and Mike’s son played on the team. Somewhere between practices, pitching changes and snack schedules, they realized they were describing the same problem from opposite ends.

Mike had spent years in insurance watching Native families go without coverage they were entitled to. Ryan had spent years as the patient, and then as the parent of one, learning what happens when coverage decisions get made in a hurry.

They formed RedHealth Advisors so that every client gets what they wished more people had: a licensed advisor, a real conversation, and a plan chosen with the whole picture in view.

Ryan found his way to insurance the hard way. Two diagnoses in four years taught him what the paperwork means when a family is scared, and how much a good explanation is worth before anything goes wrong. He focuses on individual and family coverage, supplemental policies and small business options like ICHRA.

Mike has spent years watching Native families miss protections that federal law already guarantees them, simply because nobody explained them. He founded EnrollNative, our outreach to enrolled tribal members, and brings a teacher's patience to explaining what federal law actually provides.
